DDNS (Dynamic DNS) can be used to provide a domain name for a device with a changing IP address, for example a FortiGate WAN interface connected to the Internet and configured using DHCP IP. If you use DDNS to create a fully qualified domain name (FQDN) for this interface then users can connect to it over the Internet even if the IP address changes.
